Coconut Grove Chamber Announces First Call For 46th Golden Coconut Awards

The Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 46th Golden Coconut Awards.

These prestigious awards will recognize outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals that demonstrate excellence in business and a passion for the community in seven different categories, including:

• Small Business of the Year
• Business of the Year
• Business Leader of the Year
• Non-Profit Organization of the Year
• Up and Comer of the Year
• Community Service – Business or Group
• Outstanding Service – Individual

The Golden Coconut Award –(not a voting category)

The winner will be chosen by the judges from a finalist in the above categories.

The nomination process is now open to the community, and the Coconut Grove Chamber encourages anyone to nominate a deserving business or individual or self-nominate now through Friday, December 4, 2015. The application process is free for these awards, and nominees do not need to be Chamber Members (but they must currently live or work in the Coconut Grove area).

All nominations MUST include what the person/group/business has contributed to make things better in the Coconut Grove Community.

The top three finalists in each category will be announced in mid December. These finalists will all be recognized and celebrated at the 46th Golden Coconut Awards Event on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 6- 8:30pm at The Kampong in Coconut Grove, when the winner in each category will be announced.
